About Me
When people ask about the origins of my creativity and sense of humor, I always reflect on my childhood. Growing up in the 1960s and 70s—a time when music was meaningful and inspiring, and television was both educational and engaging—shaped the way I see the world today.
Saturday mornings were spent watching Schoolhouse Rock!—a fun and educational break between cartoons. Thanks to those lessons, I still know the preamble to the Constitution by heart, have a foundational understanding of government, and can easily define a conjunction. Messages about taking care of our planet were common, including the powerful commercial featuring a Native American with a tear in his eye—an image that remains iconic to this day.
I was fortunate to be surrounded by a supportive family and friends, spending much of my time drawing, painting, and exploring creativity in various forms. Whether listening to artists like The Carpenters, Carly Simon, Carole King, The Jackson 5, and James Taylor or simply enjoying the outdoors, my early years were filled with inspiration.
As I grew older, I realized that my intelligence, creativity, and humor were deeply influenced by the diverse experiences and people I encountered. These moments shaped my perspective, reminding me to cherish memories, care for others, and stay aware of the world around me.
